This is a great walk, accessible by train, that leads out to Karloo Pool – a popular rock pool in Royal National Park. The track passes through bushland featuring lots of wildflowers in spring. Lots of variations in the track and some interesting rock formations along the way. The first part is shady; but, after the pool towards Uloola Falls, it is quite exposed.. Summary: Olympic Pool is a secluded and spectacular swimming hole on Kangaroo Creek in the Royal National park (downstream of Karloo Pool). How to get there: From Heathcote railway station. Walking distance to swimming spot: 7.8km (return) Duration: 2-3 hours. Grade: Easy/Moderate.
