Zurriola Beach. Zurriola Beach is located on the opposite side of the Urumea River and is a great option for those looking to surf. The beach is 800 meters long and 110 meters wide and larger than La Concha beach. The sand is a bit coarser than the other beaches in San Sebastian Donostia, but the water is still calm. Beach sand: Coarse sand.. It is the city beach of San Sebastian. For a city beach it is pretty ok, definitely better than the city beaches I have seen in South of Spain. The islands on the background make a cool photo spot. The tides change a lot during the day, in the afternoon the beach strip was much smaller. It got very full on the weekend! Nice atmosphere.
