Overview. Our Lady of the Rockies is a 90-foot (27 m) statue, dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, that sits atop the Continental Divide overlooking Butte, Montana. It is the fourth-tallest statue in the United States. During the summer and early fall, buses travel to the statue two or more times per day. To make reservations call 406-782-1221.. Butte, Montana has friendly people with an air of freshness abounding in the mountains and streams.. So we went to visit Mary, and enjoyed the trip to Our Lady of the Rockies. The bus ride up and down is a bit hairy for older people or for people who are scared of heights and bumpy, unpaved roads. They offer a military discount but for only.
